Randers Airfield is used for both commercial and general aviation. The asphalt runway which is 900 m long and 23 m wide, is equipped with runway lighting, so that it can be used outside of daylight hours. Randers Airfield is located just 6 km north of the town centre, and is owned and maintained by Randers Borough Council. The field is the home of the Randers Flying Club. Our club is open to all aviation enthusiasts, private pilots and others interested in recreational flying. One of Denmark’s largest and most active Flying Clubs. On the first saturday of the month (except during July), the club is open to the gen. public from 10.00 am. to 2.00 pm. The airfield and club and as we know it today, were created on 17th. May 1965, and has developed steadily ever since. In 1988 the grass landing strip was superseded by an asphalt runway, taxiways and parking area which serve to this day the club members and the surrounding local community’s aviation needs.
